In its pursuit to build Digital Egypt, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) endeavors to develop the information technology industry and boost Egypt’s global ICT competitiveness. This is achieved through the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), established in 2004 with the aim to spearhead the development of Egypt`s ICT industry to increase its global competitiveness, thus contributing to the country’s economic growth and creating more job opportunities.

ITIDA seeks to boost Egypt’s global ICT competitiveness through:

1) Developing the outsourcing services industry,
2) Increasing ICT service exports, and
3) Attracting foreign investment.

Boost a Business

Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) offers “Boost a Business” programs to:

1)    Help promote Egyptian ICT exports,
2)    Support exporters to uplift their competitiveness and be able to penetrate key markets,
3)    Boost the business capacity of local small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs),
4)    Help IT organizations optimize how they do business and build related key capabilities, and
5)    Bridge the gap between technologies needed to overcome the economic, social and environmental challenges and existing technologies.
