In its pursuit to build Digital Egypt, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) endeavors to develop the information technology industry and boost Egypt’s global ICT competitiveness. This is achieved through the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), established in 2004 with the aim to spearhead the development of Egypt`s ICT industry to increase its global competitiveness, thus contributing to the country’s economic growth and creating more job opportunities.

ITIDA seeks to boost Egypt’s global ICT competitiveness through:

1) developing the outsourcing services industry,
2) increasing ICT service exports, and
3) attracting foreign investment.

Business Setup

"Business Setup" programs offered by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) aim to turn a product concept into a complete product ready to hit the market, provide full-fledged incubation to startups, and support early-stage, growth-driven companies through education and mentorship.

Business setup programs provide the following:

1) Promote university-industry collaboration,
2) Contribute to building an innovative knowledge economy,
3) Establish strong links between industrial and research partners,
4) Provide fully-fledged incubation package,
5) Support early-stage tech ventures,
6) Help our stakeholders find the right partner, and
7) Support market-led research and tech development
