Industry Development

In its pursuit to build Digital Egypt, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) endeavors to develop the information technology industry and boost Egypt’s global ICT competitiveness. This is achieved through the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), established in 2004 with the aim to spearhead the development of Egypt`s ICT industry to increase its global competitiveness, thus contributing to the country’s economic growth and creating more job opportunities.

ITIDA seeks to boost Egypt’s global ICT competitiveness through:

1) developing the outsourcing services industry,
2) increasing ICT service exports, and
3) attracting foreign investment.

Support Services

The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) offers a group of support services including a number of financial incentives in areas such as institutional development, market research, local and international marketing, awareness campaigns, training and certification, as well as supporting projects. The aim is to create an enabling environment for collaboration based on win-win situations.
