MCIT Participates in the Presidential Visit to China


Within the framework of the presidential visit to China taking place from 27 to 29 August, a delegation of Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) headed by the minister, Mr. Hany Mahmoud is to participate at the governmental mission accompanying His Excellency, President Mohamed Morsi.
The mission aims to strengthen the Egyptian- Chinese relations in ICT fields. 

Relying on this high-official visit, Egypt and China intend to support and enhance the cooperation channels between both countries, especially after the Revolution of the 25th of January.

His Excellency, Dr. Mohamed Morsi has been keen to accompany a number of concerned ministers and some of distinguished businessmen during his visit to China. 

Minister of ICT, Mr. Hany Mahmoud is to discuss means of cooperation with his Chinese counterpart, in addition to conducting a number of visits to private companies.

It is also expected to sign a Memorandum of Understanding between MCIT and the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), and another MoU with  the Chinese tycoon, Hawawi Co. 

During the last period, after the Revolution of the 25th of January, both Egypt and China have been keen on exchanging visits. This includes the visit of China’s vice-minister for Foreign Affairs to Cairo last March. During the visit, the Chinese vice-minister met the Prime Minister Deputy as well as the minister of Foreign Affairs.

Among other visits came the Chinese minister of Foreign Affairs and the vice-minister of Trade on top of a 20-member delegation of commercial, economic and financial leading institutions visits.
