The Fourth Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics


The fourth and final Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI) starts its annual competition in IT and programming from 27 to 31 August, 2006 under the patronage of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology and the Arab Academy for Science and Technology.

The competition aims at promoting the usage of IT in problem solving techniques, encouraging young talents in IT, and bridging the gaps between the youth and experts in the IT field.

The official competition will take place in the governorate of Alexandria at the premises of the Arab Academy for Science and Technology with the participation of almost 80 contestants. On the sidelines of the official competition, three contests will be held, the first of which is for children between the ages of 6 and 10, the second is a contest for people with special needs and the third tests capabilities for using English language in IT concepts.
