ITIDA Sponsors 86 Egyptian Companies in GITEX Dubai 2012


As GITEX Dubai is opening its doors during 14- 18 October 2012, at Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center, ITIDA sponsors the Egyptian participating companies for the seventh time at such a well-known event.

Ensuring a strong Egyptian presence in the 32nd round of GITEX Dubai, ITIDA targets to create new opportunities of partnerships, increase Egyptian IT exports, boost investments, expand presence in the Gulf market and promoting for Egypt’s potential.

As this is ITIDA’s largest participation at GITEX Dubai, this comes as part of the Agency strategy to access the Gulf market relying on discovering the cooperation prospects between the Egyptian companies and Gulf counterparts.

Out of its eagerness for achieving partnerships, ITIDA sponsors the Egyptian companies and supports them in attending significant conventions and exhibitions in the Gulf region on top of which come GITEX Dubai.

Located in the 230-square-meter Egyptian pavilion at Sheikh Saeed Hall, ITIDA offers the exhibitors a number of services including halls equipped with screens to display products or services and the official brochure for GITEX Dubai. It also provides meeting rooms and VIP lounge.

ITIDA provides CDs with data of 1000 local and international companies located in Egypt, to be distributed as promotional material to visitors.

Furthermore, to promote the Egyptian pavilion, ITIDA has booked ads in GITEX official catalogue widely spread during the event days, in addition to a number of other ads in daily Arabic and English magazines distributed before and throughout the duration of the exhibition.

The selection of the Egyptian exhibitors is based on five criteria set by ITIDA: first, the company’s export capacity and specialization, second, its relation to the exhibition, third, the company’s compatibility with the ICT sector strategy, fourth, the international certificates of quality obtained by the company and fifth, its years of experience.

Last year statistics show that 3500 companies of more than 65 countries participated. Moreover, around 136 thousand agents from 139 countries visited and benefited from the available services and products at the exhibition.

As for the media coverage, at least one thousand media representatives worldwide covered the event.

Finally, 84% of the total number of exhibitors achieved or exceeded the expectations of their investments’ returns.
