ITIDA to Support Civil Society in Three Years


The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) board of directors has agreed to sign new cooperation agreements with civil society organizations including Eitesal association, ICT chamber affiliated to the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), and the General Division for Computers part of the Federation of Egyptian Chambers of Commerce (FEDCOC), ITIDA Executive Vice-President, Ehab Mostafa has said.

The budget of the new agreements is estimated at 35 million EGP for the period of three years starting July 2014 till June 2017.

The agreements would enable civil society to establish their institutional infrastructure, develop working systems and increase competitiveness and efficiency of ICT member companies.

This comes in line with the strategy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to support civil society organizations and to strengthen cooperation with the government sector to develop the ICT industry in order to contribute to the national GDP and increase the Egyptian exports.

This is achieved through empowering companies and opening new markets abroad relying on marketing campaigns and exhibitions.
