ITIDA Backs Egyptian Companies in Gitex Dubai 2014


For the ninth consecutive time, the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is to sponsor 25 Egyptian companies, as well as 50 representatives of visiting companies during edition 34 of GITEX Dubai and Gitex Technology Week,  held in in Dubai World Trade Centre on 12-16 October.

Participating companies-of which micro, small and medium enterprises represent 95%-provide a number of technical solutions to serve its prospect clients such as cloud computing, enterprise resource planning, human resources, internet solutions and hosting websites, software development, Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP), mobile apps development services, website solutions, Radio Frequency Identification (RFID), content management, e-health, smart solutions for areas, financial solutions and vehicle tracking.

ITIDA has a set of criteria in selecting participating companies such as the company’s experience in the local market, compatibility of specialties with events, export capacity, availability of quality certificates and compatibility with the strategy. This is in addition to the volume of participation in development of industry and exports programs and the formal representation of a company in the event .

This year, the Egyptian pavilion is spread over 408 square meters—double the space of last’s year pavilion—serving a larger number of companies.

ITIDA has run a promotional campaign in both English and Arabic in Gitex Dubai magazine, Times, Gitex Dubai Catalouge and Gitex Reivew, through which  it displays the competitive advantages and elements of attracting investment into the country.

ITIDA also runs an intensive promotion campaign in the social media  for the awareness of the Egyptian participation and displaying information on participating companies, thus helping them in promoting their products and attracting a large number of visitors.

ITIDA sponsors Egyptian participation in international forums and exhibitions to create opportunities for partnerships, increase Egypt’s exports of ICT products and services, surge investment and open new markets.
