The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) announced today the launch of “Africa Together” program for supporting Egyptian companies exports of IT services and products to the African markets, in cooperation with the International Data Corporation (IDC).
The new program aims to assist Egyptian ICT firms in penetrating high-growth markets across the African continent-especially in Uganda, Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania and Nigeria-through joint partnership and market development efforts, further enhancing Egypt's business in these markets.
In this context, ITIDA organized a workshop entitled “Introduction to Business Opportunities in Africa” in the presence of 200 Egyptian ICT companies and representatives and members of civil society entities concerned with IT, through which objectives and means to participate and benefit of the initiative were discussed. IDC study results of the nature of the ICT African markets in terms of prospects and challenges were also showcased.
IDC has a network of about 1000 international analysts and consultants in more than 110 countries of high expertise in ICT trends in developing markets. It also possess knowledge of IT as means to enable the business and its role in national economies, market entry strategies, feasibility studies, research and market analysis for outsourcing services and cross-border services in the Middle East and Africa region.
