The Technical Assistance and Information Exchange (TAIEX) Multicounty Workshop on Transboundary Movement of Electrical and Electronic Waste and Used Equipment will be held on June 6-7, in Bratislava, Slovakia.

The workshop is organized by the European Union (EU), in cooperation with Slovak Environmental Agency (SEA), and Basel Convention Regional Centre for Central and Eastern Europe in Slovakia (BCRC Slovakia).

The workshop aims to discuss the new European legislative framework on electrical and electronic waste, how to translate them in the national legislation, and their transboundary movement.

This is in addition to presenting relevant EU Directives, the technical guidelines of the electrical and electronic waste transboundary movement, and the electrical and electronic equipment used to distinguish between waste and non-waste.

TAIEX is the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission. It supports public administrations with regard to the approximation, application and enforcement of EU legislation, as well as facilitating the sharing of EU best practices.
