ITIDA to Launch ‘Industry Voice’ Forum for Small Enterprises


The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is to organize an Industry Voice Forum for “Small Enterprises” on February 17 at ITIDA premises in Smart Village.

ITIDA has launched the Industry Voice Forum for “Small Enterprises”, a new platform targeting industry professionals to engage with ITIDA and each other to reach a better understanding of the Small businesses challenges and needs. The forum’s brainstorming sessions are designed in collaboration with industry professionals.

Recommendations from these sessions will be incorporated in adapting more customized initiatives that would have higher impact on developing such special segment of the industry at the short, medium and long terms.

The forum key objectives are to address challenges facing small enterprises that are critically hindering their potential growth, evaluate the performance of ITIDA initiatives and foresee ways of enhancements for a better tuning, play as a direct communication channel with the industry for sustaining the growth and guaranteeing the competitiveness of small enterprises and collaborate in and innovate new initiatives.

ITIDA has set a number of conditions for participating small enterprises including that they should be registered in ITIDA database, their manpower should be between 10 to 49 employees, the annual revenue not to exceed one million Egyptian pounds and be headquartered in Egypt.

Out of the forum, ITIDA is planning to form specialized focus groups from the industry professionals representing the Small Enterprises segment in key technology areas. These focus groups are expected to put more insights into further details of the way forward to enhance these  technology specializations.
