The Matchmaking Forum for Investment and Innovation is jointly organized by The Next Society, ANIMA Investment Network, the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), on June 19, in Cairo, Egypt.

The Forum brings together innovation stakeholders from Mediterranean countries to share their practices, policies, technologies, services, and expertise. It also aims to promote the Egyptian ecosystem to the Euro-MED community of innovation and investment actors; special attention will be given to business opportunities in the country.

The Forum offers one to one meetings between startups and investors and a networking area for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and business support organizations.

The Next Society is an open community of changemakers, entrepreneurs, investors, corporates, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), public and private innovation, research and economic development hubs from Europe and seven Mediterranean countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia. It aims at mobilizing, promoting and reinforcing innovation ecosystems and economic development in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region.

ANIMA Investment Network is a multi-country cooperation platform for economic development in the Mediterranean. It gathers national and regional investment promotion agencies, international organizations, business federations, innovation clusters, financial investors and research institutes from the region. Based in France, ANIMA’s objective is to contribute to the continued improvement of the Mediterranean business climate, as well as encourage a shared and sustainable economic development for the region.
