ITIDA Supports 128 Companies under Egyptian Product Development Program

The Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC)— affiliated to the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), has announced the completion of contracting with 128 Medium and Small Sized Enterprises (MSEs), offering distinct products and applications that provide technological solutions for more than 40 government entities of different sectors during the fourth phase of the Egyptian Product Development by Micro and Small Enterprises (MSEs) Project for 2015.

The project is in line with ITIDA role to support innovative technological solutions and applications offered by MSEs in ICT-related fields.

Among the most prominent government entities benefiting from the program are the Central Bank, the State Information Service, the Ministry of Higher Education and several universities, and the State Council. This is in addition to Governorates including, among others, Giza, Cairo, Alexandria and Assiut, as well as the Suez Canal Authority and more than 20 ministries.

The current program phase—which comes under the theme “Providing Complete Innovative Solutions to Government Entities”—aims to support and help ICT MSEs to develop technological innovative and integrated applications and solutions for governmental entities in Egypt.

SECC launched the program in 2012, and the number of beneficiary companies reached 322 last year, with financial aid estimated at L.E 60 million over the past three phases.
