Egypt, represented by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), is participating in the 39th edition of the Gulf Information Technology Exhibition (GITEX) Technology Week, on October 6-10, at Dubai World Trade Center in Dubai, UAE.
Egypt has been participating in GITEX for 15 consecutive years. This comes within the framework of ITIDA efforts to help local companies penetrate foreign markets and increase their ICT exports and related services.
ITIDA is building two official pavilions for the first time, featuring 18 Egyptian companies, in addition to 10 startups to showcase their innovative solutions and meet with decision makers and investors through GITEX Future Stars, one of the region’s biggest startup events and matchmaking platforms.
These Egyptian companies provide innovative solutions, covering a wide range of technologies, including Radio-Frequency Identification (RFID) solutions, interactive mobile apps, Internet of Things (IoT), data security, systems integration, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), 5G networks, and digital educational content.
ITIDA offers a wide range of services to help build Egyptian IT companies’ capacities, attract and serve multinational IT companies. It expands IT business by providing unique access to several markets through sponsoring and taking part in local, regional and international trade shows.
For the past years, GITEX has been offering a unique opportunity for Egypt and Egyptian companies to showcase their newest solutions and technologies and penetrate one of the world’s fastest growing regions. It has enabled new companies to participate in identified trends as well as giving visitors the opportunity to engage, learn and implement the advances of the industry.
GITEX is one of the biggest technology events in the Middle East, North Africa, and South Asia. Around 4800 companies from over 140 countries are participating in this year’s event.
