NTRA Co-organizes ArabIGF-V

The Fifth Arab Internet Governance Forum (ArabIGF-V) is held on January 22-23, in Cairo. It is organized in collaboration between the United Nations (UN) Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA), the League of Arab States (LAS) and the National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) - the Arab IGF Secretariat, and hosted by the Arab Administrative Development Organization (ARADO).

The Forum has been organized since 2012, and acts as a dialogue platform on internet global public policy issues. It seeks to strengthen dialogue and cooperation on internet governance amongst all stakeholders in the Arab region, including governments, private sector, civil society, academics, technical community, and regional and international organizations.

The dialogue will cover the topics of priority and issues related to internet policies and Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) through a number of themes, including contribution to internet global public policymaking: from internet governance to digital cooperation, meaningful access for inclusion and diversity, digital transformation and internet economy, cyber security, privacy, trust and peace. This is in addition to discussing cross-cutting areas, such as gender equality, women empowerment, internet social and human impact, human development, capacity building and legislative frameworks.
