The Global Mobile Awards (GMA) ceremony will be held within the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017, organized by the GSMA, taking place in Barcelona, Spain on February 27-March 2. GMA features eight brand new awards for 2017 that highlight the latest technologies, products and services impacting the mobile industry. The winners of these, and all other categories, will be revealed at a series of ceremonies, across the four days of Mobile World Congress.
In 2016, two Egyptian entrepreneurs won the world’s second best mobile startup prize in a competition on best mobile startups at GSMA Mobile World Congress. The two siblings invented a new application, named "Raye7", a technology application designed to serve those who seek ridesharing. It was incubated within the technological incubators program of the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC), affiliated to the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
