The COMESA Business Council (CBC), in partnership with the Eastern and Southern Africa Trade and Development Bank (TDB), is hosting the COMESA Digital Financial Inclusion High Level Public-Private Dialogue, on January 20, in Kigali, Rwanda.
Under the theme “Towards the COMESA digital integrated common payment policy for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs),” the event focuses on the development of a low value retail common digital payment policy for COMESA.
The event brings together central bank governors, ministers of finance, ICT regulators, manufacturers, Mobile Network Operators (MNOs), commercial banks, fintechs, microfinance institutions, and MSMEs, to consider and adopt the COMESA digital integrated common payment policy and framework for MSMEs.
CBC is the recognized Business Member Organization, established as a private sector institution of COMESA. CBC represents the interests of businesses sectors at a regional level. The services provided go beyond advocacy, to actively promote business participation in regional integration, investment and global trade.
