Egypt Partakes in TAIEX Flagship Workshop on Digital Policy in Southern Neighbourhood


Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), is participating in TAIEX Flagship Workshop on the Digital Policy in the Southern Neighbourhood, organized by the European Commission, on February 9, as a virtual event.

TAIEX is the Technical Assistance and Information Exchange instrument of the European Commission. TAIEX supports public administrations with regard to the approximation, application and enforcement of the European Union’s (EU) legislation, as well as facilitating the sharing of EU best practices.

The aim of the workshop is to provide guidance to participants from the Southern Neighbourhood on the European Commission’s Digital Policy. Representatives of European Commission Directorates General will explain the objectives of the policy and how their implementation is being planned and supported. Member State experts will also provide advice as to how the objectives of the policy are being implemented in their Member States.

The European Commission is the executive branch of the EU, responsible for proposing legislation, implementing decisions, upholding the EU treaties and managing the day-to-day business of the EU.
