Egypt Partakes in OECD ONE PAI Meeting

Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), participated in the 8th meeting of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) Network of Experts on Artificial Intelligence (ONE AI) Working Group on National AI Policies (PAI), held as a virtual meeting, on February 15-19.

The meeting aimed to gain more insights on the AI policies relevant to implementing OECD AI recommendation 2.4, namely building human capacity and preparing for labor market transformation.

The OECD ONE AI provides policy, technical and business expert input to inform OECD analysis and recommendations. It is a multi-disciplinary and multi-stakeholder group.

The ONE PAI develops practical guidance for policy makers on a wide array of topics, including investing in AI Research and Development (R&D); data, infrastructure, software and knowledge; regulation, testbeds and documentation; skills and labor markets; and international co-operation.

OECD was established in 1961; it includes 34 Member States. OECD aims to assist states to increase their economic growth, employment rates and the trading volume between Member and non-Member States.
