The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), represented by the Information Technology Institute (ITI), signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Arab Academy for Science, Technology and Maritime Transport (AASTMT), represented by the College of Computing and Information Technology - South Valley Campus, on February 24.
The agreement comes within the framework of the development efforts exerted to raise the efficiency and promote the use of ICT at the State’s administrative and service apparatus. It also comes as part of ITI role as a scientific training institution whose mandate is to develop specialists in IT, as well as its leading role in capacity building through organizing scientific and hands-on courses in different IT fields.
Building on that leading role in developing the IT community in Egypt, especially in Aswan and South Valley governorates, the two parties agreed to cooperate to develop people’s skills in science, technology and innovation, to meet the economic development and community needs, capitalizing on the administrative facilities, technical capabilities and training expertise possessed by both parties.
