Vodafone Intelligent Solutions (VOIS) Digital Society Hackathon 2021 has been concluded. The Hackathon was organized online, on March 25-28, under the theme “A Code to Move the World,” in collaboration with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), the Information Technology Institute (ITI), and the National Telecommunication Institute (NTI).
The closing ceremony included announcing the Hackathon results and the winners, with total prizes amounting to EGP 250,000. Matkhafeesh team won first place, receiving an EGP 100,000 prize; Brain Controlled Wheelchair team won second place, receiving an EGP 50,000 prize; and Eiin Tech team won third place, receiving an EGP 30,000 prize. Seven more teams won cash prizes, each amounting to EGP 10,000.
The Hackathon was joined by undergraduates and professionals with a knack for data mining and coding. They were given the opportunity to practice, challenge, develop their skills, share ideas and get inspired by a team of exceptional mentors and speakers to develop tech-based innovative solutions to societal challenges.
