Egypt Partakes in IOI 2021


An Egyptian team of four contestants and three supervisors is participating in the 33rd International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI 2021), organized by the National University of Singapore, online, on June 19-25. The Egyptian team’s participation is under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT).

IOI is one of several international science Olympiads held annually around the world. Exceptional high school students from various countries compete in the prestigious algorithmic competition to sharpen their informatics skills, such as problem analysis, design of algorithms and data structures, programming, and testing.
 
The main objectives of IOI is to discover, encourage, challenge, and recognize exceptional high school students for their talent in the field of informatics; foster friendly international relationships among computer scientists and informatics educators; bring the discipline of informatics to the attention of young people; promote the organization of informatics competitions for high school students; and encourage countries to organize future IOI competitions.
