Egypt, represented by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), is participating in the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI) Mid-Year Rendez-Vous 2021, organized on June 30, online, as part of the AI Policy Events of the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD).
Under the theme “Concrete actions, applied activities,” the GPAI Mid-Year Rendez-Vous will be an opportunity for GPAI Council and Steering Committee co-chairs to give GPAI community an update on recent developments, and for GPAI working groups to publicly launch the practical, applied AI projects GPAI will be undertaking through 2021.
Launched in June 2020, GPAI is a multistakeholder initiative bringing together leading experts from science, industry, civil society, international organizations and government that share values to bridge the gap between theory and practice on AI by supporting cutting-edge research and applied activities on AI-related priorities.
