Silicon Waha is hosting the Closing Ceremony of the fifth edition of Egypt Internet of Things (IoT) and Artificial Intelligence (AI) Challenge, on September 23-25, at Borg Al Arab Technology Park.
Egypt IoT and AI Challenge is a capacity-building and pre-incubation program targeting high school and senior university students and startups with innovative ideas in IoT, AI, and related fields.
The Challenge kicked off on February 1 under the auspices of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT). Around 425 teams registered in the Challenge tracks: High School, Graduation Project, and Startup tracks.
The Challenge helped students and startups transform their ideas into successful projects by creating an environment conducive to innovation and creativity. The aim was to help build an innovation-based economy in Egypt through promoting innovation and entrepreneurship in IoT, AI, and their applications.
Egypt IoT and AI Challenge is part of the Arab IoT and AI Challenge, which involves organizing local challenges in Arab countries, including Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Oman, Palestine, Tunisia, and the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
