The Egyptian National Post Organization (ENPO) has signed a cooperation protocol with the Internal Trade Development Authority (ITDA) to deliver the latter’s services and official documents, such as the commercial register and trademark registration documents, to citizens through post offices.
The cooperation reflects the state institutions’ concerted efforts to provide high-quality government services. It also supports the state's plans to optimize service delivery. It is part of ENPO social responsibility and efforts to facilitate citizens’ access to services.
The new service allows citizens to choose their preferred delivery location. The service capitalizes on advanced and modern systems and tools that help provide citizens a seamless experience.
It is worth noting that ITDA has made some services available through the Digital Egypt platform. The Authority is also planning to launch more services, bringing the total number of services available through the platform to 13. In addition, ITDA has developed its commercial and trademark registration services, leading to an increase in the number of commercial registration transactions to about 3.1 million annually, compared to 1.9 million in 2017. The number of trademark registration applications also reached 10,000, after recording only 4,364 transactions in 2017.
This was achieved thanks to ITDA development and automation of services, in cooperation with government agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGOs), in line with the state strategy of shifting to a digital economy and adopting financial inclusion.
