ICT Minister Partakes in GITEX, Expo 2020


The Minister of Communications and Information Technology Amr Talaat headed, this morning, to Dubai, United Arab Emirates, leading a high-level delegation, to participate in the 41st edition of GITEX Global, and Expo 2020 Dubai, and hold meetings with a number of the largest companies working in the ICT fields to discuss injecting new investments into the Egyptian market.
 
Talaat is to deliver a speech at the “Leaders Vision” conference, held on October 17, as part of GITEX Global. He will also participate in a symposium entitled “Investment Opportunities in Information Technology and Infrastructure in Egypt” on October 18 within the events of Expo 2020 Dubai.
 
Talaat will also hold a number of meetings with officials of major international companies working in the ICT field to discuss enhancing joint cooperation, review the capabilities and competitive advantages of the Egyptian ICT sector, and the available investment opportunities.
 
It is worth noting that the 41st edition of GITEX Global will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President of UAE, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, on October 17-21. GITEX Global aims to shed light on the next generation of innovations in the world of technology, in several areas, including Artificial Intelligence (AI), Fifth Generation (5G), cloud computing, big data, cybersecurity, blockchain, and financial technology.

This year, GITEX Global will be held in conjunction with the global event "Expo 2020 Dubai" at Dubai World Trade Center.

Expo is an international event, marking 170 years since the first World Expo has been held. World Expos provide a platform for countries to showcase their new technologies, products and ideas. The exhibition is held every five years in a different country and lasts for a maximum period of six months. It is hosted by Dubai during 1st of October, 2021 until 31st of March, 2022, where 192 countries and a number of the most important international organizations are participating.
