The Digital Transformation Academy of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has organized a workshop on technological innovation and digital transformation for heads and staff members at the information systems and digital transformation units in the ministries and government entities relocating to the New Administrative Capital. The aim is to achieve operational excellence and ensure sustainability of digital transformation.
The workshop introduced technological innovation, its components, and benefits for individuals and institutions and discussed cases and models on the use of technological innovation to achieve digital transformation in businesses and government agencies. Around 88 unit heads and staff members attended the workshop.
The workshop is one in a series of activities organized within the framework of Digital Transformation Academy, which was launched by the ICT Minister to provide continuous technical support to heads and employees at the information systems and digital transformation units in the state administrative apparatus, especially the entities moving to the New Administrative Capital.
The Academy organizes activities on regular basis for heads and employees at those units, in cooperation with national and international officials and experts in the ICT sector, to build their digital capacities in the areas of work of the units to ensure sustainability of Digital Egypt projects.
Earlier this year, the Academy has held a series of interactive sessions and workshops on digital transformation technologies, along with capacity building programs, targeting employees at the state administrative apparatus and the entities moving to the New Administrative Capital.
It is worth noting that MCIT is following a comprehensive plan to provide technical support to the information systems and digital transformation units in ministries, public entities and governorates. The plan includes building an operational structure for the units and carrying out programs, workshops, and sessions to build basic and specialized skills of the units’ heads and employees. This is in addition to carrying out activities as part of Digital Transformation Academy and preparing a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for the units.
The Academy delivered 44,654 certificates to most heads and employees at the state administrative apparatus, training them on the knowledge, culture, and digital skills necessary to adapt to the work environment in the New Administrative Capital. The Academy also organized specialized capacity-building programs for the units’ heads and employees, handing over 5,776 training certificates.
