Training of New Batches of Women Entrepreneurs within ‘Qodwa-Tech’ Concludes

The Central Department for Digital Community Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has concluded the training of batches 21, 22 and 23 of female entrepreneurs and craftswomen on social media marketing skills. The training was organized online as part of the ongoing activities of Qodwa-Tech initiative for empowering women.

A closing ceremony took place where the graduates received certificates of completion of the training program. The Initiative team and the trainees had an open discussion about the training content and exchanged views and suggestions for development in the coming phase of the initiative.

Qodwa-Tech, along with other community initiatives launched by MCIT, plays a major role in raising awareness of the importance of empowering and training women to use IT. The Initiative is in line with MCIT strategy for building Digital Egypt and helping individuals, especially women, leverage the orientation towards digital transformation.

The objectives of Qodwa-Tech include reaching female entrepreneurs nationwide, helping preserve traditional and heritage crafts, and catering to the needs of craftswomen in different governorates to sustain the provided value chain. This is achieved through carrying out a wide range of training programs, all of which contribute to promoting and utilizing IT tools and applications in promoting handmade products to empower women economically and socially.
