MCIT Organizes IT, Freelancing Skills Training within ‘Tawar w Ghayar’

The Central Department for Digital Community Development at the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has carried out several training activities on IT and freelancing skills for young people in different governorates, during January and February.

The activities were organized within the framework of Tawar w Ghayar (Develop and Change) initiative, which is carried out in collaboration with partners including the Ministry of Youth and Sports and Microsoft.

This comes in light of the Digital Egypt strategy, reflecting the country’s keenness to invest in and equip young people with technological skills. The training activities were also organized to put nationwide digital development centers at youth centers to effective use.

The training was aimed at upskilling youngsters in IT and freelancing and preparing them to join and compete in the labor market through specialized training activities in different technology domains that meet market needs. The training helps support young people to fill in decent jobs, keep up with the digital transformation, and empower citizens to adapt to technological advances.

The initiative team is currently organizing a training activity at labs in digital development centers in Assiut, Sohag, Qena, Beheira, Menoufia, Dakahlia, Damietta and Sharkia Governorates.
