The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) is a Strategic Partner in the second Cyber Security and Innovation Series (CSIS) – Egypt Edition, held on March 28-29, in Cairo.

CSIS brings together IT professionals to address requirements and challenges faced in the region. Key discussions will be held around niche topics, like security, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), regulations and policies in cyber security to ensure that organizations have the right solutions in place to ensure that they are safe in the cyber space.

ITIDA is participating in various specialized sessions during CSIS, especially those related to cyber security, electronic transaction security solutions, electronic signature uses, the digital skills necessary to keep pace with the requirements of the local and global market, and Digital Egypt strategy. This is within the framework of ITIDA efforts to raise awareness and shed light on the efforts exerted in this regard.

ITIDA is also participating in an event titled “Middle East Digital Workforce Summit – Egypt Chapter: Changing the Landscape of Work in a Cloud-Enabled Economy.” The Summit discusses how to digitally upscale the workforce whilst remaining highly productive, sustainable and effective.

The Summit also highlights "Digital Egypt" strategy adopted by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in addition to the initiatives organized by ITIDA, such as the Future Work is Digital (FWD) initiative and the training programs that will provide youth with digital technologies and skills for remote work. Other topics include offshoring in Egypt, and the best practices for planning and managing the digital workforce.

ITIDA was established in 2004. Its mission is to spearhead the development of the local IT industry to increase its global competitiveness, thus contributing to economic growth and the creation of more job opportunities.
