NTI, Qena Governorate Ink Cooperation Protocol

The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) has signed a cooperation protocol with Qena Governorate to achieve a balance between growth and development. The protocol is aimed at building the capacities of and qualifying fresh graduates in Qena for the ICT labor market through the Digital Egypt Youth (DEY) initiative and Fiber Optics Training Program.

The protocol also involves qualifying youths for the various labor markets in Qena Governorate, upskilling employees in the state’s administrative apparatus to cope with the digital transformation, upgrading the ICT infrastructure, and building the capacities of graduates with disabilities.

The protocol has been signed after measuring the unemployment rate in collaboration with the population coordinating committees in the districts and villages of Qena’s population directorate, as solutions were proposed to reduce unemployment.

During the signing ceremony, the significant role played by NTI in Qena and the national initiatives it offers to upskill youths and employees in the ICT sector were highlighted and commended. NTI has recently started organizing the Upper Egypt Train for Technology in CREATIVA Innovation Hubs. The Train is an innovative solution that helps tackle unemployment following pragmatic approaches, bringing various vital services for business growth together in one place.

The population directorate in Qena is liaising with CREATIVA Innovation Hubs to train and qualify young people for the labor market through offering hands-on training on the latest technologies in collaboration with international companies.
