Arab, African Ambassadorial Delegations Visit EUI Campus

A delegation of Arab and African ambassadors and cultural attachés has visited the premises of Egypt University of Informatics (EUI) at the Knowledge City in the New Administrative Capital.

EUI President, senior officials and academic personnel at EUI accompanied the delegations. They toured the university campus and met the students to explore closely EUI features and capabilities and the benefits offered to Egyptian and foreign students. EUI vision, mission, and academic programs were presented during the visit.

The visit reflects the endeavor of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) to become a key player in the African and Arab arenas in ICT-related matters. The aim is to shed light on the Egyptian ICT sector's competitive advantages and milestones, achieved recently, especially in capacity-building as a main pillar of "Digital Egypt" strategy. MCIT, through the visit, strives to strengthen ties and boost academic collaboration with African and Arab countries.

MCIT has founded EUI in line with the national strategy for investing in human capital and upskilling youth. EUI is the first university specializing in ICT and related sciences in Africa and the Middle East.

EUI is a national, not-for-profit university that offers world-class education and scientific research. The academic programs at EUI are modeled on those offered at top universities, helping put students on the right track, keep up with technological advancements, and meet global market needs.

The university boasts four faculties: Faculty of Computing and Information Sciences, Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Business Informatics, and Faculty of Digital Arts and Design. EUI first academic year kicked off in October 2021. Students are granted a Bachelor’s degree through in-depth interdisciplinary academic programs that focus on modern sciences and emerging technologies to help students access the labor market and fill in-demand jobs.

EUI has established partnerships and concluded several agreements with some of the world’s high-ranking universities. The university is part of the Knowledge City, which MCIT has been building to act as a great and leading technology hub to create an environment conducive to innovation and research and development (R&D), serving both Egypt and brotherly Arab and African countries.
