The

The Hackathon aims to inspire and encourage young Egyptians nationwide to create innovative solutions by employing and developing Metaverse applications to address pressing challenges while also contributing to the acceleration of digital transformation.
IbTIECar Metaverse is part of ITIDA efforts to promote innovation and entrepreneurship, encouraging future generations to create and develop innovative solutions. In addition, the Hackathon is aimed at enhancing the role of national universities as a hub for creativity and innovation-based entrepreneurship in Egypt.
TIEC received more than 120 project ideas by students, graduates, researchers, and academic personnel at different faculties.
The selection process and evaluation criteria consider five factors: Idea Novelty; Market Potential (target or expected market size and potential); Impact of the idea at the local, national or global level; Team Ability (the technical and managerial ability and skills of the team); and Maturity Level of the prototype.
The winners receive total cash prizes of EGP 750,000 and have the priority to join TIEC business acceleration and incubation programs. They also have access to the consultation, mentorship, marketing, and business development services offered by ITIDA and its affiliates. In addition, winners receive support to transform their ideas into startups that can compete and penetrate different markets and industries.
