First Attaa Digital Hackathon Kicks off in Egypt


The Saudi Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, in cooperation with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), launch the first Attaa Digital Hackathon in Egypt. The Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) along with RiseUp Summit and the Islamic World Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (ICESCO) are partners in the Hackathon. The Hackathon is held on August 29-31, in Egypt, as part of Attaa Digital initiative.
 
The non-profit initiative is aimed at raising digital awareness among all society members. The Hackathon targets training and empowering interesting applicants in the digital field, by providing workshops, training courses, and various tests. It also aims to foster creativity, innovation, and teamwork to create Arabic educational content in the technical field.
 
Applicants must be Egyptians, creators of Arabic digital content, and interested in technology. They must be at least 18 years old.
 
The Hackathon is also aimed to strengthen partnerships with academic entities and universities in training calibers, building capacities, and motivating youth to share their ideas and compete to present solutions and proposals that serve the community. This is in addition to contributing to adopting technical and technological solutions to serve Arab societies to enhance the language provided in Arabic content, as well as attracting digital content creators.
 
Training tracks will be included in the Hackathon, most notably cybersecurity, Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Internet of Things (IoT), Augmented Reality (AR), Virtual Reality, and others.
