ITI Collaborates with Al-Azhar University to Train Undergraduates


The Information Technology Institute (ITI) has held intensive training for the youth of Al-Azhar University over the past months. The training came as part of a set of programs, focusing on technology skills relevant to future professions, including ICT sciences and freelancing skills.
 
Around 1,000 students from different faculties of Al-Azhar University, such as the Faculty of Engineering, Faculty of Science, and Faculty of Commerce, received the training. The training program lasted for approximately 1,300 hours, provided on technological skills to raise learners' competencies and qualify them for future jobs.
 
Several disciplines were included in the training programs, most notably Artificial Intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), cybersecurity, web programming, mobile applications, digital design, open sources, databases, and social media.
 
It is worth noting that the program provided an integrated hybrid training model, including online and interactive lectures, as well as hands-on training and graduation projects. The program has been implemented in cooperation with the private sector, aiming to develop the practical and soft skills of Al-Azhar University's youth nationwide, and qualify a generation capable of competing nationally and internationally. The program is in line with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) role in implementing Digital Egypt strategy to hone the digital skills of youth.
 
ITI is one of the training entities affiliated with MCIT. The Institute develops youth capabilities and skills through a diversified set of capacity-building programs and professional advanced coaching.
