NTRA Empowers University Students through ‘Motamayez’ Program


The National Telecom Regulatory Authority (NTRA) is carrying out “Motamayez” program for supporting graduation projects of senior-year university students at the faculties of engineering and information systems in national universities and not-for-profit educational institutions in Egypt.
 
The program is implemented by NTRA Research and Development (R&D) Department, within the framework of NTRA strategy. One of the objectives of the strategy is to leverage academic and industrial development in telecommunications to render high-quality services and develop solutions to the pressing challenges facing today’s ICT industry.
 
Projects are evaluated based on their relevance to telecommunications, impact, originality, quality of writing and competency of the team. After being assessed by a group of experts, accepted projects receive financial support of up to EGP 50,000 to cover hardware and software costs.
 
NTRA has set a list of proposed research areas, including, but not limited to:

-    Energy Harvesting
-    Low Power Communication

Students must follow the instructions and use the forms on NTRA website. Projects must be emailed to: rd@tra.gov.eg by maximum December 15. Accepted projects will be announced before 15 February 2023.
 
It is worth mentioning that NTRA has been offering a wide range of services and programs aimed at upskilling young people. NTRA funds graduation projects, carries out summer trainings, offers in-depth courses as part of the academic programs at universities, supports student activities, and organizes sessions on relevant topics.
