MCIT, GIZ Hold Expert-Level Workshops in DX


The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in cooperation with the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), has held a series of workshops for experts, specialists, and practitioners to share expertise, practical knowledge and lessons in digital transformation.

The workshops were held in November and December. They were joined by 300 participants from different entities, ministries, governorates, and government agencies.

A number of workshops were organized in Cairo and Luxor, targeting the trainers responsible for raising digital awareness within “Digital Decent Life” initiative. MCIT launched the initiative to help fulfill the objectives of the “Decent Life” national project for developing the Egyptian countryside. The workshops provided trainers with necessary skills and tools to promote digital citizenship and digital literacy among citizens in the villages targeted within the Decent Life initiative.

Moreover, MCIT organized several interactive sessions in digital transformation and emerging technologies. Specialists, including heads and staff of the information systems and digital transformation units in different government agencies, participated in the sessions.

It is worth noting that a workshop on “the technology of the present and future” was held to discuss top tech trends such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), big data, cloud computing, the Internet of Things (IoT), 5G, and others.Furthermore, several workshops were held to discuss the fundamentals and tools of digital communication and online safety.
