During the event, the mission and vision of Aswan’s Creativa Innovation Hub was presented. The Hub offers a variety of training activities, including summer trainings for university and school students, intensive training for qualifying university graduates to become tech ambassadors, and freelancing support services.
A number of success stories were also presented during the event, including of young people from Aswan who succeeded as freelance professionals and others who landed decent jobs at major Arab and international companies.
Since its establishment, the Creativa Innovation Hub in Aswan has carried out more than 16,252 training hours over 30 months. The training targeted graduates of the faculties of engineering and sciences, in addition to graduates of some non-technical faculties. The courses covered a number of IT specializations, including mobile application development, web application development, information security, integrated circuit (IC), and application programming interface (API).
It is worth noting that the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has been establishing Creativa Innovation Hubs with the purpose of enhancing youth employment. Adopting pragmatic approaches and real-life solutions, the Hubs provide a wide array of business development services (BDS), helping students, SMEs, and start-ups to become key players in achieving digital transformation in different sectors.
