MCIT Organizes Tech Innovation Workshop for Foreign Ministry Diplomats


The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) has organized a workshop on technological innovation and digital transformation for 31 ministers plenipotentiary and diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The workshop has been held at Creativa Innovation Hub in Sultan Hussein Kamel Palace in Cairo, in the presence of Deputy ICT Minister for Institutional Development and Assistant Foreign Minister for Financial and Administrative Affairs.
 
The workshop introduced technological innovation concepts, components, and benefits to individuals and institutions. Also presented were cases and examples of using technological innovation in digital transformation in business and government institutions to achieve operational excellence and ensure sustainability of digital transformation.

The workshop was delivered by the Vice President of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) and Chairperson of both the Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) and Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC).

The workshop is part of the activities carried out by MCIT to develop and build the digital capabilities of leaders and employees in ministries and entities moving to the New Administrative Capital. It builds on the periodic meetings held by MCIT with national and international officials and experts in the ICT sector, for leaders and employees of the state's administrative apparatus to develop their knowledge and digital skills to ensure the sustainability of Digital Egypt projects.
 
It is worth noting that a range of programs for developing and building digital capabilities was organized for 1,104 diplomats and employees of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs moving to the New Administrative Capital.
 
Furthermore, MCIT has trained 67,565 employees and leaders of the ministries and entities moving to the New Administrative Capital on the knowledge, culture, behaviors, and digital skills necessary to keep pace with the work environment in the New Administrative Capital.
