ITI Hosts Global Game Jam 2023

For the 11th consecutive year, the Information Technology Institute (ITI), through its Game Development Academy, is hosting Global Game Jam (GGJ) on February 3-5 at its premises in Smart Village. The event is organized as part of the activities of the International Game Developers Association (IGDA) - Egypt Chapter.
The world’s largest game-creation event, GGJ aims to empower individuals worldwide to learn, experiment, and create together through the medium of games in a safe and welcoming environment. The event is held annually, bringing together thousands of jammers from over 100 countries to create video games.
Global Game Jam is a game-focused hackathon where participants create games around a central theme revealed at the start of the jam. It instills team spirit, encourages people from different backgrounds to participate and contribute to this global spread of game development and innovation, and helps create opportunities within local communities.
ITI has an impressive track record of boosting the e-game development industry in Egypt. The Institute offers training courses, educational seminars, and professional certificates and organizes events and competitions, all to develop young people’s skills in e-game development and create a pool of highly-qualified game developers.
