MCIT Organizes AT Webinar within ‘Smart Gov’t Hackathon’


The National Academy of Information Technology for Persons with Disabilities (NAID) of the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is organizing a webinar titled “Smart Assistive Technology” on February 8, within the framework of the Smart Government Hackathon.
 
The Hackathon is organized by Benha University and powered by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Under the theme “Smart Government for Smart Administrative Capital,” the Hackathon aims to find innovative solutions to critical challenges related to smart government through design, prototyping, and testing ideas.
 
The Hackathon revolves around a number of themes: Smart Authentication, Smart Identity, Smart Democracy, Smart Services, Smart Media, Smart Interaction, Smart Community, Smart Governance, Smart Leadership, Smart Planning, Smart Mobility, Smart Tracking, Smart Censorship, and Smart Security.
 
Established in 2018, NAID works to enable PwDs to develop their skills and use their exceptional abilities to bolster economic and social development in Egypt. The Academy’s vision is to become a regional hub for supporting and promoting assistive technology to empower people of determination and improve their lives.
