Egypt Partakes in 27th SSOW

Egypt, represented by the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), is participating as a sponsor in the 27th Shared Services and Outsourcing Week (SSOW), organized by Shared Service and Outsourcing Network (SSON) on March 20-23, in Orlando, Florida, the US.

The event is held under the theme “Value proven, every day. Redefining success in 2023 and beyond.” Experts and key players in the shared services and outsourcing industry, as well as renowned organizations, are participating in the event.

ITIDA pavilion features representatives of international and national companies specializing in IT outsourcing (ITO). Through its participation, ITIDA aims to showcase Egypt’s competitive advantages as a favorite destination for offshoring services, and present the investment opportunities offered in the outsourcing services sector.

According to Gartner, IDC, and other leading consultancy firms, Egypt is named a Primary Location for global exports of IT and business services in EMEA. The country continues to attract investments of Fortune 500 companies such as Amazon, Uber, Dell and IBM. Moreover, the Egyptian IT and business services exports have for several consecutive years been growing at a double-digit rate fueled by a multi-lingual talent pool of 600K+ annual graduates, the largest in the Arab speaking world and second largest in EMEA.

It is worth noting that SSOW is one of the world’s largest events for shared services, global business services (GBS), and outsourcing. The event acts as a platform for discussing several areas, including financing, GBS, intelligent automation, HR, and procurement. SSOW has four key areas of interest: scope expansion, continuous improvement, talent management, and leveraging advanced technology and tools to improve processes and drive enterprise-wide transformation.
