OECD AI-WIPS Conference 2023 Holds

The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) is organizing the Third International Conference on AI in Work, Innovation, Productivity and Skills on March 27-30, online. The event is within the framework of OECD programme on AI in Work, Innovation, Productivity and Skills (AI-WIPS).

The Conference brings together leading voices from the policy, academic, business, technical and civil society communities to discuss how AI affects employment, skills, productivity, and innovation, and how policymaking can respond. Alongside the implications of ChatGPT-like tools, participants will discuss new OECD evidence on the impact of AI in the workplace and on education, whether AI is the solution to skills shortages, risk-based approaches for AI governance and much more.

OECD is an international organization that works to build better policies for better lives. Drawing on 60 years of experience and insights, the goal of OECD is to shape policies that foster prosperity, equality, opportunity and well-being for all to better prepare the world of tomorrow.

It is worth mentioning that Egypt joined OECD in 2007 as a non-member participant. The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and other Egyptian ministries are members of OECD specialized committees. MCIT has been a Regular Observer in the Committee on Digital Economic Policy (CDEP) since 2008.
