The top four students that demonstrate excellent coding skills, and who qualified for the Egyptian Olympiad in Informatics (EOI), will be selected to form the national team.

Two qualifying rounds will be organized; the first is held online on April 19-20, and the second is organized at AASTMT premises in Abu Qir, on April 26-27.

Applicants must meet specific criteria, including having previously qualified for EOI, being enrolled in a school, and not aging over 20 by July 1.

IOI is the most prestigious software and systematic solution methods competition for school students. The first IOI was held in 1989 in Bulgaria, with contestants from 25 countries. The international competition aims to get young generations interested in IT, and it provides an opportunity to exchange scientific and cultural experiences.

Egypt participated in IOI for the first time in 1998 and has been a permanent participant since then.
