NTI Conducts 3rd Intake Admission Tests of DEY- Embedded Systems

The National Telecommunication Institute (NTI) has started conducting admission tests for the third intake of the Digital Egypt Youth (DEY) initiative in Embedded Systems, at NTI premises, in the Knowledge City, New Administrative Capital, in cooperation with NTI industry partners.

Over 1,100 out of 2,500 applicants, who meet the DEY criteria, are being tested. The three-day tests aim to select the most suitable 150 trainees to join the Embedded Systems track, within the framework of Egypt Makes Electronics (EME) initiative. The program targets university graduates, Classes of 2018-2023, from the faculties of engineering (departments of communications, electronics, computers, or mechatronics), faculties of computers and information, and faculties of Artificial Intelligence (AI).

The initiative comes as part of enhancing Egypt’s digital renaissance and keeping abreast of the latest digital and scientific technologies. It also aims to develop young people's capabilities as well as digital and scientific knowledge to create distinct job opportunities, keeping pace with global changes, most notably the digital economy and its role in developing the Egyptian economy.

It is worth noting that NTI had trained over 700 trainees in DEY first and second intakes and provided them with hands-on training in related DEY tracks in 30 major global and local companies, with an employment rate exceeding 45% in the first intake and reaching 70% in the Embedded Systems track.
