MCIT Organizes DEBI-X Event

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), Berlitz, and Dale Carnegie co-organized DEBI-X event on May 30 in Cairo, as part of Digital Egypt Builders Initiative (DEBI).

The event focused on the experiences of DEBI participants, with the aim to spot talents, empower students to express themselves and develop communication skills, and encourage healthy competition among students.

During the event, DEBI students shared their experiences and engaged in inspirational and motivational discussions that tackled various topics such as boosting self-confidence, exploring different cultures, facing hardships, and overcoming challenges, as well as questions on today’s careers, among others. In addition, top participants were honored and received awards based on the performance and participation.

It is worth noting that DEBI was launched by MCIT in 2020 as a free scholarship aimed at preparing skilled professionals in advanced technologies and developing youth innovation skills. The initiative targets training 1,000 university students majoring in engineering and computer science, annually, in a variety of tracks including data science and AI, cybersecurity, robotics and automation, digital arts, FinTech, and digital architecture.
