MCIT Organizes Career Awareness Workshops within DEBI

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) is organizing a series of career awareness workshops within the framework of Digital Egypt Builders Initiative (DEBI).

The workshops target DEBI students and graduates. They dive into available jobs in the IT sector and in-demand skills in the job marketplace.

The first workshop was held on May 31. It explored different types of ICT jobs in the banking sector.

The second workshop is organized on June 7 in collaboration with Fawry. It aims to raise awareness of the labor market needs and help students develop their skills to meet those needs.

As part of DEBI, a career fair will also be organized on June 9 and 10.

DEBI is a scholarship by MCIT, aimed at shaping young professionals in advanced technologies and developing youth innovation skills. It targets students at the faculties of engineering and computer science, and features several technology tracks. The initiative is carried out in collaboration with international universities and multinationals specializing in ICT, leadership, or language skills development. DEBI participants receive a master's degree granted by those universities.
