The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), in cooperation with New Valley Governorate, has concluded the applied program in the fundamentals of digital project management, organized on June 18-20 in Kharga. It was held under the cooperation protocol signed by MCIT and New Valley Governorate on implementing digital institutional development projects and upskilling government employees.
The first phase of the program was attended by 30 employees responsible for the planning, implementation, and follow-up of national and investment projects in New Valley general bureau, and its affiliated service directorates, centers and departments. The training aimed to improve knowledge and skills in digital project management.
The main objective of the program is to train public servants to achieve sustainable resource management and make optimal utilization of digital project management tools to ensure a better implementation of projects in the short and medium run. This will help optimize resources, lower spending, reduce waste, and protect the environment.
The program aligns with the plans of achieving digital institutional development in New Valley, developing the digital skills of employees, improving work performance, and taking advantage of digitization to raise the efficiency of government operations.
The training was organized as part the objectives of the Digital Egypt strategy and MCIT institutional development efforts to realize digital transformation in New Valley. Efforts include improving digital skills of managers and employees to prepare institutions for digital transformation and ensure its sustainability.
The program builds on the outcomes of the visits and periodic meetings of officials from both MCIT and the Governorate to discuss the efforts of supporting and sustaining institutional development and digital transformation.
