SECC Appraises Seven Organizations at CMMI DEV-V2.0-Level 3


The Software Engineering Competence Center (SECC) of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA) has appraised seven Egyptian and Chinese organizations at the Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI®) for Development V2.0, Maturity Level 3, from January to May.

This year’s appraised organizations include one Egyptian organization, Fixed Solutions (Software Unit), and six Chinese organizations, including Shandong Henghui Software Co., Ltd. (Research and Development Department); Shenzhen Vanke Xiangying Management Service Co., Ltd. (Business Support Department); Kuporye Technology Co., Ltd. (Technology Department); China Gaming Technology Co., Ltd. (research and development (R&D) Department); Shandong Aishuren Family Education Technology Co., Ltd. (Software R&D Center); and JI'NAN HENG DA New Technology Development Co.,Ltd. (R&D Center).

CMMI is one of the most significant international quality accreditation appraisals and certifications in services and software development industries. It indicates the compliance of the companies and organizations that have obtained it with Software Quality Standards.

 SECC is the Information Systems Audit and Control Association (ISACA) internationally accredited entity that provides training, appraisal, and accreditation services. The Center conducts appraisal services in Egypt, Saudi Arabia, Syria, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates (UAE), China, and Bangladesh at Maturity Levels 2 and 3 for CMMI® for Services and Development. So far, SECC has accredited 181 organizations, and provided 191 accreditation services.

Established in 2001 by the Ministry of Communications and Information (MCIT), SECC aims to boost the software industry in Egypt. The Center is a national leading ICT organization that provides leading technology services enhancing the efficiency of IT companies and improving their internal capabilities.
