First ‘Techie kit’ Program Kicks off


The first Techie kit program for providing training to students and graduates is launched in partnership between Creativa Innovation Hubs, the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC) of the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA), Orange Digital Center (ODC), and the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ), within the framework of Egypt Makes Electronics (EME) initiative.
 
The program provides training in several specializations, including software engineering, and digital fabrication (hardware) that will foster skills of students and graduates on digital fabrication tools used in factories, companies, startups, and daily life. Participants can explore more about laser cutters, 3D printers, electronic circuit design and manufacturing, and printed circuit board (PCD) milling.
 
The training will be held within Creativa Innovation Hubs in Alexandria, Mansoura, Menoufia, Ismailia, Minya, Assiut, Sohag, Qena, and Aswan.
 
Creativa Innovation Hubs is a national project undertaken and implemented by the Technology Innovation and Entrepreneurship Center (TIEC). The project aims to support and assist students, entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), and startups to become key actors in achieving digital transformation within different state sectors. The Hubs provide a space for innovating, interacting, co-working, and holding business meetings, networking events, workshops, venture demos, and product launches, as well as other collaborative activities.
